Blitzcrank Support OP Guide For League Of Legends (S3)

Blitzcrank is one of the funnest champions to use in League Of Legends. His ability to grab the enemy hero from distant, knock up and AOE silence is what make him so fun and satisfying (when winning) to play. While some pros insist that Blitzcrank is viable at top or even mid. I believe Blitzcrank is best played as a full support hero at bot with any aggressive ADC (Attack Damage Carries). Your primary objective as a support Blitzcrank is too grab or hook the enemy AD/AP carries to your team and win! In this guide I will explain on how to play support Blitzcrank in details.

Primary Skill To Upgrade : Q (Rocket Grab) (This is your bread and butter, learn this fully (5 levels by lvl 9) to reduce the cooldown and increase the damage.

Secondary Skill To Upgrade : E (Power Fist) (Finish this by level 13 to reduce the cool down.)

Tertiary skill : E (Overdrive) (last to upgrade)

Ultimate : R (Static Field) (Upgrade this at level 6, level 11 and 16.

Summoner spells are Flash & Exhaust. With exhaust you have 3 CC kills (Knock Up, Silence and Slow/Reduced Damage) to help your ADC get kills easily during the laning phase. Exhaust can also be used to save your ADC from getting killed by the enemy ADC.

Blitzcrank Strategy During Laning Phase : Be very aggressive when you play as a support Blitzcrank. In any warfare, you want to have as much intelligence as possible about your enemy position. So as a support player, it's your responsibility to ward up key areas like the tribush, dragon path and enemy side bush to prevent gank from the enemy jungler. Always look for opportunity to grab the enemy ADC whenever possible. Try to avoid grabbing the enemy support unless he/she is already low in health (<50% health). My experience tells me that it's always a bad idea to grab a support tank such as Leona, Nunu & etc because your ADC will get destroyed by the enemy ADC while you are busy peeling the hooked tank. If you are not confident enough to land a clean hook. You can always try to "feint hook" by moving forward and backward from the bush as if you are getting ready to grab. This will to put psychological pressure on the enemies and force them to miss as many CS as possible. Pay attention to the map and ping your ADC when the enemy jungler approaches. The sequence of your skill combo is W (Overdrive) for the speed, Q(Rocket Grab) to hook, E(Power Fist) to knock up, R(Static Charge) and exhaust.

Blitzcrank Strategy During Late Game/Team fight Phase : In team fight, your goal is to grab the enemy AD/AP carries to your own team for instant kill. Grabbing a tank to your own team can often lead to disastrous outcome so it's best to be patient and only Q when you see the enemy ADC/AP carries expose themselves on the front. A patient Blitzcrank is a good blitzcrank. It's also your responsibility to keep the important areas like Baron, dragon, entry points warded so that your team have as much vision as possible about your enemy movement to prevent gank or to initiate one when the enemy is spotted with ward.

Lesson from Sun Tzu Art Of War - Ward, ward and ward!
It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.

My favorite items during laning phase/early game are Crystalline Flask, sight ward, vision ward, boot of mobility, Sightstone & Philostone.

My favorite items during mid game are Boot Of Mobility, Shurelya's Reverie, Glacier Shroud & Ruby sightstone.

My favorite items during late game are Boot Of Mobility, Shurelya's Reverie, Frozen Heart, Runic Bulwark & Oracle Elixir. Use your Oracle Elixir to remove wards from the Baron area, river & bush. Ward key areas (ie :Baron, entry point) with sightstone or sight ward.

My Blitzcrank Masteries is 0/2/28 :

Runes : 9 X Greater Mark Of Magic Penetration, Greater Seal of Mana regeneration, 9 x Greater Glyph of scaling cool down reduction, 3x Great Quint of ability power.

Spell Vamp Items Viable For Fiddlestick? The OP Analysis

Objective : To study the viability of spell vamp items on Fiddlestick.

Method : To compare the differences in AP Damage/Gold and Life Steal/Gold between 2 sets of AP items.

Set 1 : Rod Of Age, Rabadon Deathcap

Set 2 : Spirit Of The Spectral Wraith, Will Of The Ancient

Data Analysis : Fiddlestick @ lvl 16

Assumption : Fiddlestick ult hits on single target only.

Discussion : Fiddlestick with Set 2 (Spell vamp items) has a clear advantage on life steal/G whereas set 1 (AP items) gives a slight advantage on AP damage/Gold.

Conclusion : Considering how earn it is to earn gold in S3 jungle, 2 Spell vamp items are at least viable for Jungle Fiddlestick because it offers a much better Life Steal/Gold without sacrificing too much AP damage/G. The enemy will also have a harder time killing Fiddlestick in team fight with set 2 items unless he get CC and burst down almost immediately.

Recent (5 v 5 Pre made game) Result with 2 spell vamp items

Fiddlestick Solo Baron with 2 Spell Vamp Items + Abyssal Scepter.

Karthus OP Guide/Tutorial For Newbies (Season 3)

Karthus is an AP based champion who excels in teamfight and global nuke (Kill steal). Karthus does not perform well during laning phase against more than dozen of AP champions (ie: Fizz, Leblanc, Kassadin, etc). So it's critical that you try not to die during this time and farm as many creeps as possible so that you are fat enough to be useful in teamfight. Your primary objective for playing karthus is not to die during laning phase, get as many CS as possible, get kill/assist with your R and become an unstoppable force when the game transitions into team fight phase.

Primary Skill To Upgrade : Q (Lay Waste) (you should fully learn this by lvl 9)

Secondary Skill To Upgrade : W (Defile) (Finish this by level 13)

Tertiary skill : E (Wall Of Pain) (last to upgrade)

Ultimate : R (Requime) (Upgrade this at level 6, level 11 and 16

Summoner Spell : Flash & Teleport (Good for ganking another lane) or Exhaust (good for aggressive laning phase & team fight). Both teleport or Exhaust are viable as long as you are using it under the right situation. If you choose teleport you should only use it to gank , save your partners (with wall of pain and disengage) or save a tower. Do not use teleport just to farm that few extra creeps. If you choose exhaust, you can be a little more aggressive during laning phase and have an easier time killing the enemy AP carry together with your competent jungler. In team fight, you can also use exhaust to CC any bruiser that dives on you.

Pre Level 6 Karthus Strategy : Try to stay distant and last hit the creeps with your lay waste or auto attack. Try to harass the enemy AP champion with your wall of pain (W) and lay waste (Q) only when her/his skill shot is on cool down.

Post Level 6 Karthus Strategy : If you take teleport as your summoner spell, you can ask your bot/top lane partners to ward the enemy bush so that you can teleport there to gank, hopefully with you jungler to secure kill. Always look out for any enemy heroes that are low in health so that you can R them to get kill.

Team fight : With proper items, Karthus is a monster in team fight with insane DPS and nuke damage with his R. Try to aim your Wall Of Pain to slow the enemy team's AP/AD carries and immediately trigger your defile, Q & flash in if necessary to deal massive damage. The enemy team will focus you down quickly but if you have Zhonya Hourglass, you can delay your death by 2.5 sec with your defile still on doing damage to the surrounding enemy heroes. Once you are killed, press Q more to damage the enemy team further before using your ultimate while your passive skill, death defied is still on.

My favorite items during laning phase/early game are : Boot Of Speed, health Potion, Tear Of the goddess & Catalyst The Protector.

My favorite items during mid game are : Sorcerer Shoes, Rod Of Age, Seraph Embrace & Rabadon DeathCap.

My favorite items during late game are : Sorcerer Shoes, Rod Of Age, Seraph Embrace & Rabadon DeathCap, Zhonya Hourglass. Be sure to activate your Zhonya Hourglass in team fight when you are almost dead to maximise your DPS!

My Karthus Masteries :

Runes : 9 X Greater Mark Of Magic Penetration, Greater Seal of Mana regeneration, 9 x Greater Glyph of scaling cool down reduction, 3x Great Quint of magic damage

Killer Alistar OP Jungle Guide/Tutorial (Season 3/S3)

To jungle as Alistar effectively, you need Pulverize as your first skill because it does the most AOE damage & CC to the creeps. Start your jungling path at the wolf, then proceed to Blue. Ideally, you want to start ganking @ level 2 from behind with headbutt and follow by pulverice, preferably bot lane or top if the enemy overextends even slightly. If the enemy plays turtle you should proceed to clear the rest of the jungle as fast as you can and look for ganking opportunity @ level 4. If you aren't ganking, the second skill you need to learn is Triumpant roar, this skill will increase your sustain in the jungle tremendously. The third skill can be either head butt or pulverice depending on how fast you want to start ganking.

Jungling Route = Wolf -> Blue -> Gank Top Or Bot (Situational but high recommended) -> Wraith -> Red -> Golem -> Wraith

Alistar Pre Level 6 -> After the big nerf on head butt range, Alistar no longer poses the scary "backside" ganking threat as it used to. But he can still deal severe punishment to unsuspecting player who overextends greatly and have poor map awareness due to lack of wards. Gank from behind with headbutt (W), walk towards the dazzled enemy and pulverice (Q) for maximum time of CC. Watch your enemy destroyed by your carry and type /l to laugh.

Alistar Post Level 6 ->The same as pre level 6 except that now you have unbreakable will, and you can now dive the enemy with low health(<50%) under tower from anywhere to secure kill for your carry.

Team fight -> You play as a protector of your carry and also the one who initiates on the enemy team carry(who is fed). Do not waste your combo on enemy's tank or support unless their ad/ap carries are busy farming far away.

3 absolutely important Alistar combo moves you must learn in order to play Alistar well.

Summoner spells are Flash & Smite

My favorite items for jungle Alistar in season 3 are as follow:

Machete, Boot Of mobility, Philostones, Sheen, Spirit Of Ancient Golem, Trinity Force & Frozen Heart.

Alistar Jungle Masteries, I prefer attack damage for easier time on jungling.

Runes : 9 X Greater Seal Of Armor, 9 X Greater Seal Of MR, 9 Greater Mark of scaling attack, 3 X Q of Attack Damage.
